Bullying negatively affects those who are bullied, those who bully others, bystanders, and others in the school community. Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Kids who are bullied - and who bully others - may have serious, lasting problems.

Kids who are bullied - and who bully others - may have serious, lasting problems.

At the end of the day, one of the most-asked questions is, “What can we do to stop bullying?”

Effective prevention starts with establishing clear, consistent anti-bullying policies and enforcing them rigorously. Additionally, engaging parents, teachers, and community members in the conversation ensures a unified front and provides additional support networks for students.

With awareness, action and follow-through, bullying can be prevented. So that all students can be part of a safe, inclusive environment.
